The current anti-smoking campaign is
not about public health or drug abuse...
It is about YOUR
MONEY... They want it!
Legal Drug Pushers
Americans have become addicted to LEGAL drugs that kill
people when used as directed by their medical doctors.
Doctors
gleefully prescribe and Americans swallow a pill for whatever ails them... from
headaches to tummy aches, to combat depression or to improve our sex life.
The number of people having in-hospital, adverse drug reactions (ADR)
to prescribed medicine is 2.2 million. As a result, around 100,000 Americans
are killed each year according to the Journal of the American Medical
Association. The leading causes of adverse drug reactions are antibiotics (17
percent), cardiovascular drugs (17 percent), chemotherapy (15 percent), and
analgesics and anti-inflammatory agents (15 percent).
Americans are
addicted to a legal drug culture!
What hypocrisy to blame our
health problems on the tobacco industry.
You are told that nicotine is
addictive, but did you know from 1989 to 1995 the legal drug industry generally
doubled their revenues, which has further soared through 2011?

The main product of these companies are drugs!
Drugs for headaches, drugs for backaches, drugs for depression, drugs for
allegies, drugs for asthma, drugs for cholesterol, drugs for diabetes, drugs
for heartburn, drugs for hypertension, drugs for cancer, drugs for nasal
congestion, drugs for impotence, drugs for arthritis, drugs to control your
child's behavior, drugs for hair loss, and yes, even drugs to help you
stop smoking. They have a drug for just about everything
that ails you.
Their smoking cessation plans include replacing tobacco
with legal drugs.
Crack cocaine or heroin might destroy
your life, but what about drugs like Viagra, Ritalin, or Prozac?
Taking their lead from the CDC and EPA, the
pharmaceutical industry has taken the distortions of
clinical studies to a new level.
We see studies that are designed to
minimize the appearance of negative risks associated with these drugs, such as
heart attacks, stroke, mental disorders, suicide attempts, and violent
behavior. Even after studies are completed, the results are highly distorted as
well. Drug companies pick and choose which studies they want to publish. They
may do twelve different studies on a particular drug, and if six of them say
the drug is safe and effective, while the other six studies say the drug is
dangerous and useless from a medicinal point of view, they pick the six they
want and bury the others. They forward the six they want to the FDA. The FDA
looks at those six and says, "This sure is scientific!", and they approve that
drug application. ["Big Tobacco and Big Pharma: same tactics, different chemicals,"

Protecting Pharmaceutical
Profits Americans currently pay the highest prices in the world for
prescription drugs. Canadians, Europeans, and even citizens of Mexico pay only
about one-half to as little as one-tenth the price paid by Americans for the
very same chemicals. Interestingly, drug companies actually import many of the
raw materials used in drugs from other countries, meaning that some U.S.
medicines are already sourced from countries like the U.K. and Germany.
Drug companies mark up their prescription drugs as much as 569,000%
over the price of the raw materials. A typical markup is more in the 30,000% -
50,000% range. Retailing pharmaceuticals is hugely profitable. There is no
business in the world with more profit built into the retail price of the
product. How many business owners would like to have those profit margins? The
purpose of restricting Americans from buying drugs from other countries is to
enforce a medical monopoly in the United States, forcing consumers to purchase
drugs at the highest prices in the world, further padding the profits of
powerful and influential pharmaceutical corporations who exert strong influence
over the U.S. Congress. [©Copyright 2006 Dr. Joseph Mercola. All Rights

It's all about making money,
and selling a product to people. It's about exploiting the public for financial
gain, while disregarding the true effects of your company's products on the
public health.
In the U.S., prescription drugs have increased over
the past decade to 3.4 billion annually, a 61 percent increase. Retail sales of
prescription drugs jumped 250 percent from $72 billion to $250 billion, while
the average price of prescriptions has more than doubled from $30 to
$68.
Industry giant and market
leader, Pfizer pleaded guilty in 2009 to the largest health care fraud in U.S.
history and received the largest criminal penalty ever levied for illegal
marketing of four of its drugs: Bextra, Geodon, Zyvox, and Lyrica. Called a
repeat offender, this was Pfizer's fourth such settlement with the U.S.
Department of Justice in the previous ten years. But, has anyone from Pfizer
ever been sent to jail for their crimes? Of course not. Instead the burden of
their crimes have been carried by their client drug users... YOU!
Trillion Dollar Pharmaceutical
Scam In an early morning stealth vote, the U.S. Congress passed a
Prescription Drug bill called, "Medicare Prescription Drug, Improvement, and
Modernization Act" that essentially guaranteed huge profits for the
pharmaceutical industry at the expense of the American people. A key point of
this bill prohibits the Federal government from negotiating discounts with drug
companies. This Medicare drug plan fiasco enriches pharmaceutical companies,
fleeces taxpayers, and forces millions of older Americans to accept inferior
drug coverage. Many representatives who voted in favor of this drug scam were
later offered million dollar jobs from the pharmaceutical industry.
Drug companies had a deep hand in steering the Medicare
prescription drug bill which has provided them with enormous profits. Watch the
60 Minutes presentation by Steve Kroft about the Medicare Prescription Drug
Bill and Washington Lobbyists below...
